We try to reach agreements under which both parties contribute their complementary capabilities so as to work together in coordination and as efficiently as possible.

OPDE have been successful in this type of deal in all the countries where the company operates and are always ready to work with new collaborators.

Land owners

If you are a land owner OPDE can study the opportunities your land provides for the development of solar project. OPDE are constantly looking for new locations to develop renewable energy projects, and are interested in transforming unused land or land that produces little income into a source of income for owners in the long term.

Why rent your land for a solar farm?

  • 25 years guaranteed revenues.
  • Business diversification at no cost.
  • Land will remain for agricultural use- sheep grazing and ecology management.
  • Biodiversity enhancement.

What makes your land a potential site for a solar farm?

  • Space – the site should ideally be at least 25 acres.
  • Sunlight – the site should be relatively flat or south facing and be free of any buildings or landscape features that could cause overshadowing.
  • Unconstrained – the site should be located outside landscape, ecological and heritage designations such as National Parks, Areas of Outstanding Beauty (AONB) and Sites of Special of Scientific Interest (SSSI).
  • Low quality land and lowl visual impact on the area.
  • Grid Connection – A suitable 33kV / 11kV line or substation should be located close to the site to allow for connection into the grid.
  • Access – suitable for articulated lorries for construction and maintenance.
